Hi, I'm Ruby Venter, the founder of Black Stag Grooming.
People are often surprised to learn that Black Stag, a premium men's grooming brand, was founded by a woman. But I've always believed that quality, craftsmanship, and attention to detail have nothing to do with gender and everything to do with passion.
Black Stag started with one simple idea: create grooming products that men could genuinely rely on. What began as countless hours of researching ingredients and perfecting formulas soon grew into something much bigger, a brand built on quality, honesty, and timeless style.
Today, every part of Black Stag reflects that same passion. From developing products and designing the labels to building the website, photographing products, writing the content, packing every order, and answering customer emails, I've poured my heart into every detail.
Somewhere along the way, I also earned the completely unofficial, but highly prestigious, title of Professional Beard Scratcher. While I can't promise to scratch every beard personally, I can promise that every product is created with the same care, pride, and attention to detail I'd expect for someone I love.
To me, grooming isn't about vanity, it's about confidence. It's about taking pride in the small details and showing up as the best version of yourself every single day.
